Flower Tricks for Days
More often then not, I buy the cheapest flowers I can find at the store. I'm not looking to break the piggy bank on some $20 flowers that will die within a couple of days. I am drawn to the cheap but vibrant flowers that are usually less than $5. They brighten my life for a couple of days then die. Live your life; no regrets. You know the drill. I will share a trick that will make your cheap, scrawny bouquet fill your mason jar in a way that results in even less regrets. The trick is this: a grid of tape. Get a mason jar. Fill it with water. Take some tape. Make a grid. Slide each individual flower in the squares made by the tape. Use your eye to make an arrangement that pleases your eyes. BOOM! You got a full arrangement. :)

Step in to My Office
I moved in to my office this weekend, and I love the space so much! You'll see a few of my favorite pieces, my dream catchers, and a watercolor/ mixed media painting. No matter the size of the space you're working in, I think its so important to make it your own so that you can be comfortable and feel at home in the space.

A Trip to Time Warp
Follow my blog with Bloglovin
Yesterday I finally visited Time Warp Boutique in Baton Rouge, LA. After years of Instagram stalking and dreaming, I got to see the store in the flesh, and it was better than I expected. I purchased 3 unique finds, including this lovely, mixed-floral dress with the wing-style overlay. It is my favorite dress in my closet right now. Go to Time Warp now, like right now, for a vintage shopping excursion!

The Creation of a Themed Dance "The Lion King"
The process of conceptualizing a dance and translating it in to choreography and costume is great work but yields great reward. The character these girls portrayed was fierce--first rising from slumber then ending in attack mode.
How to: The face paint was made to look like a cheetah tattoo. Simply grab some black paint and a brush and form non-perfect circular shapes near to one another. It is simple and quick, two key functions for a quick change.
This dance won a Judge's award (being chosen out of 200 dance performances because of the character and choreography), it won 2nd out of all performances at the competition, and it also won first in its division!

PicKeD the Best
After working on decorations all summer and having a garage filled with Kappa Delta and flowers, bid day was a success!

Parisian Street Style Inspired
A French braid is what inspired this look. I wanted to fit the part. So here is my best Parisian street style look! Of course I chose black and red and a white frilly skirt. The black top is actually my dance leotard! (Look at me exposing all my secrets!)
Another secret is that I really need this book. Like…really need.
xoxo and bonjour!

Monday Morning
I feel bad for Monday. People just love to hate it. What is it all about? It's a new beginning, a blank slate, and a second chance. It's a day to become who you really want to be. On this Monday morning, I drank coffee out of my French bike cup and took a spin around my neighborhood on my pink bike. It was great! Let's start using Mondays as an excuse to live and not an excuse to have a bad day.
