My "Mock Millionaire" Look

I am not one for modeling, but here are a couple pictures from my semi-formal event last night. I wore a Forever 21 light-pink dress with a pearled collar given to me by my friend Brittany Quirk (yes this is a #shoutout), wine colored heels to which I added my broach clip-on earrings, a leopard print faux fur coat that makes me feel like a 90 year old millionaire, and a Victoria Secret bag. It was a night to remember!

And That's a Wrap

Saving pretty "junk" has become a hobby for me. Magazines that come in the mail, scraps of fabric, tid bits of ribbon. This pretty junk can be used in many ways, especially on gift wrapping and homemade cards. I transformed a plain Jane white gift box in to an Anthropologie inspired collage. I hope it makes my gift even more special!

For the Goodwill of All

Three dollars and forty-nine cents. A stylish Italian leather purse for three dollars and forty-nine cents. This is a Goodwill find that will stay with me for years because of its timelessness and spatial utility. Looking aimlessly in Goodwill can lead to a treasured find for all. I can't wait to pair this with riding boots and over-the-knee socks!

Secret Santa Style

Tis' the season for gift exchanges. If you are anything like me, you're looking to get the most for your buck. My friends and I are having a Secret Santa exchange with a limit of $25 so I decided to go thrift store shopping for my gift. I found vintage earrings from an antique store owned by my mom's good friend and the purse from an upscale reseller- Clothes Mentor. I made sure to clean all my finds, and I hope she loves it all. I'd say I maximized my giving by shopping thrift! Be smart. Be unique. Be a giver.

Something About Flowers

In the midst of winter, flowers can bring happiness and remind you of how pretty life can be.

Work of Art

Everyone should take a second to play on picmonkey.com. Its free and you can do some great edits with it. I was able to transform a plain signature in to a small work of art.

A Space of My Own

This just so happens to be my favorite space. It's where I can be both creative and productive. It's always filled with papers and to do list, but it's where I dream and pray and clear my mind.

post script~ The dream catcher was handmade by yours truly.

Vintage Inspiration

What started as an antiquing scavenger hunt for unframed beveled mirrors transformed in to a style inspiration. This small booth at Reflections of Old had vintage furs and prom gowns, wedding dresses and jewels. It always surprises me how the old can influence the new. I am now in search of a fur coat of my own.
